We spent fifteen years doing this by hand.
Ads Autopilot is not a product we invented and then went looking for customers for. It is the system our own team built to run the accounts we already manage, and it is the reason we can finally say yes to the businesses we spent a decade turning away.
The businesses we could not help were the ones who needed it most.
Search Marketing Group opened in Melbourne in 2011. Since then we have run Google Ads for more than 500 Australian businesses. Trades, health, professional services, ecommerce. Mostly the kind of business where a wasted thousand dollars is felt immediately.
For most of those fifteen years the same call kept coming in. A plumber, a clinic, a small manufacturer. Spending eight hundred a month, sometimes fifteen hundred. They needed help. But a good strategist costs real money, and at that spend our fee would have consumed the gain. So we said no, and hoped they found someone decent.
Meanwhile our own team was carrying the unglamorous half of the job. Reading search terms. Checking budget caps. Catching the conversion tracking that broke quietly on a Tuesday. Necessary, repetitive, and precisely the kind of work a machine should be doing.
So we built one. It audits every account we manage, every night, ten modules deep, and hands our strategists a ranked list before they have had their coffee. It has been running across our entire book for some time.
Ads Autopilot is that system, opened up. The same modules, the same logic, the same nightly run, pointed at your account instead of ours.
Running it yourself, you get the same nightly audit our clients get.
Wants a second set of eyes, not agency fees. The gap we said no to for years.
Complex enough that a strategist pays for themselves, where a consult fits.
We did not build software to replace what we do. We built it so the businesses we could not afford to help could get the same answers.
How we got here.
A search agency for Australian service businesses. Not a reseller, not a white label shop. Our own team, managing our own accounts.
Across trades, health and medical, legal, professional services and ecommerce, with 81 five star Google reviews from the clients behind them.
Top tier partner status, the band reserved for the leading slice of partners in each country. It is reassessed every year against client performance and growth.
The internal audit system becomes a product. $199 a month, no lock in contract, and no minimum spend before somebody will take you seriously.
Google Premier Partner. Meta Business Partner. Shopify Partner. Google Analytics certified. Five star rated on both Google and Facebook.
The same ten modules run on your account and on ours.
Every night, in the same order, scored the same way. What our own strategists read each morning is what you read each morning.
What the playbook does when it is applied properly.
An Australian service business we manage, over the 30 days to 17 August 2026, measured against the 30 days before it.
45% lower cost for every conversion
6.4 times as many
Scaled 3.5 times while cost per conversion fell
Why I am fine with you not needing us.
Plenty of agencies would look at this and see us giving away our own advantage. I see it differently. Most of the people who will use Autopilot were never going to hire us anyway, because the numbers did not work for either side. They were going to keep guessing, or hand it to somebody cheap who set it up once and then disappeared.
I would rather they had the same nightly audit our own clients get, for less than the cost of one wasted week of ad spend. If some of them grow large enough to want a strategist in the room, they know where we are. And if they never do, they are still better off than they were.
One commitment. It will never touch your account without your say so. You approve every change, and every change stays reversible in Google Ads. It is your account. We simply think you should be able to see what is actually happening inside it.
Any account you're running yourself, wanting to know what is being missed without paying for a retainer. Whatever you're spending.
Above roughly $2,500 a month, software alone can leave money on the table and a strategist earns their fee. That's when a consult makes sense, and we'll tell you which one you are before you pay us anything.
